"Lotino" means "children" in Acholi. These sweet necklaces were made with children in mind (but can be worn by an adult too) - and provide education and hope for the artisans's own children also.
This child sized (or small adult!) paper bead necklace is made by former child soldiers in Uganda. It is a combination of blue and mint beads, or pink, red and purple beads.
